Getting There : The Allamar Motel is situated approx 2kms from Mt Beauty and 35mins from Falls Creek. If traveling from Melbourne come via the Hume Highway to Wangaratta, then Myrtleford, Ovens then east to the Kiewa Valley Highway through Tawonga, then just past the Bright turn off there is a sign to turn right for Ranch Road. Follow this for 400metres and you have reached your destination.
During Ski season Falls Creek coaches provide a daily service from Melbourne to Albury
Mt Beauty is a short drive to Yackandandah, Bright, Beechworth, Myrtleford, Harrietville, Falls Creek why not stay a few extra days to see more of the area.
The sealing of the Bogong High Plains road from Falls Creek to Omeo has opened up a 230k alpine loop for cars and motor bikes to experience the High Country. Travel through Mount Beauty, Falls Creek, Omeo, Mt Hotham, Bright and back to Mount Beauty which can be done in one day for the experience of a lifetime. The newly developed Bogong Hydro Power Station, Wallace's Hut, Fainter Falls are just a few of the attractions.
