Overall my stay was really good. I liked that parking was available also as that made everything much easier when arriving. Only real downside was on the day of check out housekeeping came into the room an hour early. Very comfortable, clean and convenient. We were a little unhappy with the service at dinner one evening and once we had finished eating were asked to vacate the table so that it could be set for breakfast. Excellent except for the one day my room was not serviced when I requested it via door sign. However staff on duty procured fresh crockery and towels within 5 minutes, which was great.

Overall it was good. The boys and I enjoyed the room, buffet breakfast and locality to Melbourne Museum.
Downside was adults constantly smoking and drinking alcohol around the pool. My older son (12) has asthma and allergies and was unable to use and enjoy the courtyard pool. He remained in the room whilst the younger child and I had a quick swim but only stayed 1/2 hour each time. We had headaches from the smoke. As a non drinker, I didn't appreciate adults drinking constantly from morning to night around the pool and leaving their debris behind which the boys and I saw the next morning. It was unpleasant and smelt. Ashtrays were full and not emptied and bins overflowing with alcohol bottles. The surrounding gardens at the front also had alcohol bottles and litter in the garden beds which I spotted on Friday and were still there on Sunday morning when we left.

Staff were run off their feet at breakfast time as they did not know how many were coming in until that morning. We still however received great service. Big stars for the food !!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic we had 2 dinners and 3 brekkies and could not falt anything. The steak was the best we had in years. Congratulations. The barman was awesome too. What a worker. He did the bar, served the meals and showed people to their tables as the rest of the staff were serving a cocktail party by the pool. Love hotel for location & staff are helpful & friendly. Minuses - bathroom was tiny, water in shower shot out of cubicle when turning on & waiting for warm-up! Also, can't believe still charging for WiFi. Finally courtyard very echo-y - we had room next to pool & had to ask a gentleman to keep it down (about 12.15am) as he and a friend were drinking a beer & chatting at the poolside table just outside our door.
