Pretty good! Maddie on the front desk was very friendly to us on our arrival on Monday afternoon and kindly booked us in again for 3 and 4 November this year as we are heading over to Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup. I have stayed at this hotel many times before and am aware of the friendly and courteous staff and clean and comfortable rooms.

It's a great place to stay.... Quiet, central and comfortable. I have been staying at this hotel when in Melbourne over the last 20 years. This time I was disappointed to see that the cost cutting is evident firstly in the quality of the toiletries provided, no tissues and really awful toilet paper!!!!! Nasty! Also there was no water in the fridge, no complimentary biscuit etc. when driving from the country to stay usually you arrive tired and the small things of comfort are often the little blessings.

I must compliment the very helpful and warm male receptionist whose name I forgot to ask but is the one who appeared on the advertisement for the hotel's cocktail bar. My only unpleasant experience at the hotel was my encounter with the very rude waitress on my first breakfast at the restaurant on Sunday 9th February. She is slightly plump with dark hair and seems unable to cope with the many weekend tour groups having breakfast there, thus releasing her anger with shouting and rudeness. I skipped a few breakfast just to avoid her but good thing I found out later that she only work over the weekends so I return for breakfast and realized the other waitresses were nothing like her a all. Hope that rude waitress learns to cope with stress and enjoy her work without having to take out her anger on others.

Friendly relaxed staff. Our daughter loved the pool. The area around pool was clean and inviting. Rooms well appointed and very clean. We walked everywhere from hotel which was great. 1100hrs checkout is a bonus.

We stayed here to escape the heat during the recent heat wave. The room was nice and cool and the pool was great. The room was smaller than I expected, but still big enough for our family of 4 (one a baby). The only thing I was unhappy with was the lack of ABC2 on the tv (a necessity with a toddler) and the disappointing movie channels. I was looking forward to watching a 'free inhouse movie' as advertised on the website, but not being able to select a movie was annoying. The times and selection were not great, and it was hard to work out what was on and when. Also, the picture on the movie channel 1 was a bit fuzzy.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay. The room was larger than expected and the bed was so comfy. The breakfast was lovely and very nice. We are definitely coming back. The location was perfect because we visited the museum, which was only a block away and then went out to dinner on lygon street. We loved everything about the hotel. Thank-you for a lovely stay

We have stayed there before as we love the location to Lygon Street. Your staff member, attending to the breakfast attendees, working in your restaurant was amazing. She was by herself & was working so hard & efficiently with the large amount of work we observed her doing that we complimented her. :) Unfortunately, we can't remember her name. Your female staff member who checked us in (we arrived at 9.30pm) was not unfriendly, but, didn't really want to engage in conversation. We had to ring reception, later on, as we hadn't asked for (but were not asked) the way to connect to the free wi-fi. The male staff member seemed surprised that we hadn't been given the printout for it at the time of check-in, but, was very helpful in rectifying the situation. The bed was perfect as both of us have back issues & the firmness of it was just right. :)
