The only complaint we have was that there was no bathmat or hand towel in the bathroom. Some glasses in addition to the mugs provided would have been good too. Other than that it was great value for money and the staff were lovely.

Basic accommodation but great value for the location and fully cooked breakfast included. Terrific for easy access to Melbourne's sporting hub for AFL, cricket, tennis, soccer, rugby and netball. The area is surrounded by cafes,bars and restaurants and public transport.

We loved this weekend. Easy access to city and MCG. Lovely place to walk around. The beds were very comfortable, the room clean n cosy and the shower perfect. Plus, breakfast:) 8 different cereal, juice, tea, coffee, toast, eggs bacon, sausage n bean and pancakes. Should suit every one. Will return. Thanks Gary and staff for making our weekend so enjoyable.

Staff were friendly and helpful. To me the bed was comfortable, however it felt damp. Perhaps an electric blanket on the beds might help.

Comfortable, quaint place but clean and comfortable with all mod cons. This was our 4th Easter stay for the footy and Melbourne lifestyle! Impossible to beat for price and location. Free breakfast too!

I arrived without having received details of where the key was. Luckily I had taken down the phone number before arrival so managed to get in with assistance. Pleased to have an upgraded room. Cannot rate some of the categories because of Covid and the fact I arrived late and left early. Would definitely stay again.

Freezing on entry. Freezing rooms but understand times different due to Covid. Only 2 couples in for the night. So, uneconomical to heat whole building. We were able to get our room warm with our split system. Would stay in same room again. Clean & basic.

I have stayed in many supposedly highly rated hotels in Melbourne - Hilton, Mercure, etc - and would rather stay with you any day! From the first time i arrived and took in the charming facade of your building on the shady quiet street dotted with similarly historical dwellings i knew that i would love it. East Melbourne is the perfect location - easy to walk into city and so many gorgeous parks nearby. Friendly staff who went out of their way to make my stay perfect including a very nice call from Gary prior to my arrival and then his very helpful explanation about the front door keys which i found a life saver. A great room with all the facilities that I wanted plus a very comfortable bed. A lovely breakfast in the stately dining room coupled with an adjacent lounge area complete with a library. What more could a person desire? I will certainly be staying with you again - in fact, thinking about booking flights and a room for April - and would hate to think that i could miss out as i really do not want to stay anywhere else now. I shall certainly be recommending you to my friends and work colleagues and have already been doing so. All in all, a wonderful holiday made all the better by my accommodation. Thank you!
