Overall a very enjoyable stay. My only issue was something entirely beyond your control: the construction site opposite my room starting work very early in the morning (6:30 on one day).

I think the Hotel Claremont an absolute gem. The staff are lovely; the place is beautiful and well sited; transport is a short walk away; the complementary breakfast is good for budget travellers: all in all a genuine bargain.

Ive travelled quite alot, and an all over rating for all that was offered, is excellent. I would recommend Hotel Claremont to any budget conscience traveller, especially the location, close to the city, and other necessary incidentals

Very good place to stay in Melbourne. I definitely recommend it to every people who want to stay in a quiet place. The only thing is that I would have appreciate to have stoves to cook, as a microwave is not enough (but I understand the Claremont Hotel is an hotel and not a backpacker).

The facilities were clean, neat and provided everything you needed. The kitchen was available for making coffee/tea at all hours. the lounge was nice for chilling out and meeting other guests.Continental breakfast was great for a quick bite before heading out.

Having stayed at the Claremont previously I knew it would be a pleasant stay. I was however super impressed with the bedlinen, so fresh and comfortable. Also like the towel being supplied in the dorm room, don't often see that, a nice edge that doesn't go unnoticed with me having traveled a bit. Staff friendly and welcoming with all the guests. Overall great place to stay and looking forward to my next visit for sure.

I truly enjoyed mystay at the hotel. The staff were mostly friendly and all of them were very helpful. Hotel itself is conveniently located, just a couple of minutes walk from the train station. There's also a tram stop nearby. Restaurants and cafes are all within walking distance. I booked a double bedroom and it was spacious and clean. What I expected based on the website description is what I got. The common kitchen and the lounge area were always kept clean. There's free coffee and tea anytime of the day. A random collection of books is available for anyone interested in having a read. The shared bathrooms were always clean and well supplied. Only time I had issues with is when having a shower - at times there is no hot water at all. Possibly due to a large number of people using the hot water in the hotel. Oh, the free wifi sort of makes up for a couple of cold showers I had I guess.

No better place to stay for a cheap weekend / Budget accomadation in Melbourne even with the kids. Family room is basic, however large and clean and with modern TV. Toliets/ showers are clean and seperate in the hallways. breakfast is a great start to the day speaking to people from around the world. the hotel is noisy as to be expected based on location and age of building- street noise/ internal from guests coming back at night. parking an issue - place's available at yarra st appartments overnight ect....or it pot luck on the street. price. service and location more than makes up for it my second time and will be back.

Arrived very late in the morning and greeted by a very helpful and welcoming staff member, he was very helpful arranging transport for an early departure and had a lovely fresh breakfast ready prior to checkout. Rooms and bathrooms very clean. Wish I could have stayed longer! Only down side was the two flights of stairs I had to carry my suitcase up. Definitely stay again
