I have stayed at Magnolia Court quite a few times and I keep going back because it is great value for money, in a great location and the staff are fantastic and extremely accomodating

The breakfast had a wide range of choice, the beds were comfortable, and the gardens were well kept and beautiful. My only issue is that the shower was not quite hot enough.

The day we arrived there was no one at the desk to let us in, another guest arriving back at the hotel let us in, if not, we would have been outside in the cold for some time. Once inside, I rang the bell 4 times and no one came to book us in, eventually as I was about to ring the bell for the 5th time a staff member arrived. On the positive side, the rooms are clean, comfortable, the breakfast is very good with good variety, and the location is perfect, this was our second visit and we will return

Love the location. Staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The room we stayed in was very well set up and homely. My only comment is that the hot water in the shower was unreliable and the temperature did not stay constant. My husband gave up on his shower when it went cold.

the pillows were uncomfortably hard and the breakfast was less than average, (limited bread selection, no rolls or pastries, the eggs and sausages looked uninviting, the coffee was lukewarm, no cold meats, very limited cheese selection etc.) we didn't bother to have breakfast on our second day. no wine glasses in the room

I love the location, being able to walk to the CBD through Fitzroy gardens and the quiet residential neighbourhood with so many lovely homes and gardens. I love the hearty breakfasts in the sunny dining room over looking the lavender garden. Small and cosy enough to be sociable.
