I found Mid City a great place to stay, but am so sad that the unique and wonderful late mid-century fit-out, especially the bar, water wall and mural are to go. And I am so disappointed the dining room has been already been destroyed. I think you had something very special there, and will now look like every other hotel. And I love the front of the building, and understand that is also being destroyed.

We booked the three bedroom apartment for the weekend. roof continually leaked during stay. Staff very helpful with situation and did their best to assist. Checked on our comfort several times Very well managed- thank you

The little bar fridge wasn't very effective at keeping drinks cold. In Ballarat you should really look at cosier bedding. The reception area looks dingy and uninviting. Generally, though, I like the motel and the rooms are fine and we recommend it to friends.

Staff were amazing! I arrived late in the evening and the staff and chef at the restaurant upstairs arranged to make me a meal as I hadn't eaten! Best meal I had eaten in ages! Bed was amazing! Room was clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet even though it was a Saturday night. So glad I booked with you guys! Thankyou!

Experience enjoyable and only negative comment was on checkout, no one available to finalise account and young gentlemen simply took my email and said it would be forwarded and any money owed debited to credit card, however when account emailed it was the wrong room rate. However Kylie contacted me and was excellent/professional in attending to my concern and correcting matter and advised refund would be processed within 48 hours.

We had dinner in the motel restaurant on the friday night. We prefer the ambience/music of the previous 2 level dining area (before the renovations). Also the eye fillet steaks were excellent in the past but now are not as good.

I had a great stay! I loved the retro aesthetic and hope this is not lost when renos are done. The room was comfortable and clean. The only negative I have was the $17 price for a pretty rudimentary continental breakfast.

The only down side about staying here was it was extramily noisey. I couldn't sleep I think there must of been a contest on who could make the most noise on the road, wheel spins ect. It was awful all night.
