While the location was good in terms on being close to casino and aquarium (our main requirements) - it was also close to king st, so very noisy on the night we stayed - lots of shouting and cars roaring down the street - so not a lot of sleep.

We enjoyed our latest stay at Riverside Apartments. Booking was easy, staff friendly, unit very clean, bedding comfortable. We returned Saturday afternoon to find unit had been serviced and clean towels provided. Much appreciated and a little unexpected these days. Thank you to housekeeping staff.

The apartment was very comfortable and great value for money. There is quite a bit of traffic noise at night which was the only problem for us. Staff were great and its very good that reception is open all might as it makes it seem safer coming back in the evening. This is our second stay and we will probably be back again.

The internet (which is an additional cost) did not work when we first arrived, which was disappointing given that we had already paid for it. It was fixed the next day, and we still got our full five days use out of it, but it was still pretty poor that we had to wait for what we had paid for. The system to get from the garage to your room is also ridiculously complex - two keys, a pin code and a swipe card is insane. We also only got one set of keys, so the second swipe card we got (without keys) was essentially useless. There was not enough cutlery and plates provided in the kitchen - two forks between three people is a massive oversight. Aside from those things, it was a good experience. Housekeeping was generally thorough and the staff were helpful and generally happy to respond to any of our questions and requests. The location was very convenient, although I suspect that it is not located in the most pleasant area of Melbourne.

Overall experience of our stay was really good, the reception and apartments were easy to find and parking was very close by. The room was very nice layout and had good furniture and appliances, everything that we would need. The gym was good size with a wide range of equipment and was also close by. We found that the staff and cleaners were very friendly and helpful during our stay. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Melbourne if rooms are available. Thank you.

Overall very happy with the stay. EXCEPT CAR PARK INCIDENT. You must do something re: car parking slots. Just can't understand why you can't allot & reserve a car spot when the guest checks in. We had very bad experience when we returned on 27th night there was no car spot. VERY POOR CAR SPOT MANAGEMENT. The staff on duty that night was unhelpful, arrogant & did not bother to care. Hence 1 less star for staff. all other staff we dealt with EXCELLENT.

Overall stay is excellent. I would recommend to other people to stay at Riverside Apartments. The river views, location to transport, shopping and eateries are great. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The TV was quite fuzzy at times and the car park access was proved not to be efficient.

The staff were so friendly, especially the young Aboriginal receptionist (sorry for this description but I did not get her name). She was so friendly and helpful. Also the lovely girl at check-in on Sunday when we arrived (who helped with our subsequent bkg in a 2bdrm apt for the final 3nts of our stay). Housekeeping very kindly moved our bags and groceries to our 2bdrm apt which we were grateful for. Just such helpful and friendly staff which was surprising compared to the level of service we have previously encountered in other hotels around the world. Best Western Riverside is our new favourite hotel in Melbourne and we will be back - location perfect for what we like to do in Melbourne, our 3yr old loved watching the trains go past from the window, the rooms were fabulous in size and the views were amazing. So happy that we stayed here - all of the positive comments I read abt Best Western Riverside were so accurate and I will be adding my own so that others know it is a great place to stay. (As you can tell by my rambling, I can't say enough abt our positive experience!)

The only complaint is thte lack of room around the bed. Even if the door was removed from the walk in robe it would be better because you cant close it so why not remove it.

We had a lovely stay and it suited our purpose very well. We are not used to traffic noises and other guests were noisy at times, so our sleep was disturbed at times. Otherwise it was very good and we have already recommended it to several people. Thankyou for making our stay a good one. Also found the Gourmet on the Go service to be exceptionally good. (good meal and prompt service). And we loved the views from the room.

A comfortable stay. The shower head leaked badly and needs fixing. Rel quiet for the location next to the night clubs of King St! I asked for a face washer - got two -thank you, but one disappeared the next day! No bath mat? No Do Not Disturb sign for the door. Air con did not seem to work properly. The beds were comfy. Room service was fine.
