Getting There :From the Whitsunday Airport at Proserpine - connection to the resort via Whitsunday Shuttle Service or Whitsunday Transit - $20 per person. Taxi from Whitsunday Airport at Proserpine - up to four people approximately $85. Driving - turn off the highway at Proserpine. It is 25 kilometres to Airlie Beach village. At the end of the village main street, turn right into Waterson Road and immediately left into Golden Orchid Drive. |
| The Whitsundays is a boating and yachting mecca for travellers from around the world. There are 74 islands to explore with choices ranging from self charters to all encompassing cruises. The Whitsundays is also famous for the Great Barrier Reef and there are fringing reefs dotted around many of the islands. Day cruises can be arranged to experience snorkelling and diving on the spectacular reef with the multitude of colourful corals and fish of all shapes and sizes. The Whitsunday area also has scenic rainforest tours, crocodile safaris and pretty walking tracks. Lots of action and adventure is also available; from sky diving to jet skiing. All interests are catered for and can be arranged through reception on arrival to find the best current deals on offer. |
| Airlie Beach is the doorstep to the Great barrier Reef and there are numerous half day and day trips that encompass snorkeling, diving, swimming and coral viewing which are easily accessible from the resort. Great location, with great Ocean view. Very comfortable, spacious room. Really enjoyed the clean pools, with pool basketball hoop. Had an enjoyable stay, with comfy beds and great air-conditioning. Only downfall is the hotel is on a hill and guests must be able the use stairs, no lifts, so travelling with elderly parents made it a bit difficult, but they had an enjoyable stay too.
