Deluxe Cabin - Snoopy's Snoozer
Multi award-winning accommodation and caravan/camping sites which have been specifically designed for the peace-of--mind of those travelling with their four-legged Best Friend. Best Friend Holiday Retreat is set on 10 acres of parkland gardens in the rainforest of Tarra Valley, near Yarram and is located two-and-a-half hours east of Melbourne adjacent to a waterfall and natural rock pool suitable for swimming and fishing. Located 3km from the magnificent Tarra Bulga National Park, and yet is only 25 minutes from the beach.

The Park boasts its own resident koalas and wildlife abounds. There is a unique "open aviary" where the spectacular birds of the rainforest provide a colourful display not to be missed.

The self-contained cabins and drive-through caravan sites are securely fenced. There are six individual off-leash areas within the park, securely fenced with double-gate entrances. There is a dog playground and a separate area containing a monster ball for play. A hydrobath hut is available to all guests free-of-charge.

If you wish to visit the wonderful Tarra Bulga National Park, your dog can relax in the luxury day use kennels with their own TV and DVD player (charges apply).

The individually fenced cabins are one and two bedrooms (your choice from budget to deluxe) and each has a garden or forest outlook from a spacious BBQ decking. The deluxe cabins are individually themed (Snoopy's Snoozer, Pluto's Palace and Scooby Doo's Shack) and are air-conditioned. All cabins have free-to-air satellite TV.

And "YES" dogs are most welcome inside accommodation, subject only to the common courtesy 'Park Rules' (available on the website). In fact our Rules state that dogs MUST sleep inside !

Unfortunately there is no mobile reception available in Tarra Valley. A public phone near reception is available for your convenience. Internet access is available at reception.

Getting There : Please ignore GPS and other computerised directions as these direct you through various small and windy roads (also totally unsuitable for caravans)

GO TO YARRAM FIRST OF ALL - "short-cuts" are not advisable
THEN FOLLOW THE C484 SIGNS TO THE TARRA BULGA NATIONAL PARK
1. Turn into Church Road from South Gippsland Highway. (St Mary's Primary School on
corner) Follow for approx 2km.
2. Turn right into Tarra Valley Road. Follow for 3.8km.
3. Tarra Valley Road turns left (do not go to Won Wron). Follow for approx 1km.
4. Tarra Valley Road turns right (do not go on unsealed Whitelaws Track)
Follow for 10.4km - enjoy the drive.

If travelling from MELBOURNE TO YARRAM there are two possible routes:-

1. via the South Gippsland Highway through Leongatha - be careful to take the A440 turn-off otherwise you will end up at Phillip Island / Wonthaggi.

2. via the Princes Highway - take the third exit road to Morwell which is the C475. This leads to the C482 to Yarram. We highly recommend that you go to Yarram first before taking the C484.
