Carlton Clocktower Apartments (formerly Quest Clocktower on Lygon) is situated in the heart of bustling Lygon Street - Australia's restaurant capital. Your feasting is not confined to the eclectic mix of restaurants, cafes and cakes - the renowned Jimmy Watson's wine bar, Readings original bookshop, La Mama Theatre and the Nova Cinema are only part of the appetizer on the vast menu provided by Lygon Street and its surrounds.
You will find yourself only blocks from Melbourne University, RMIT University, Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Women's Hospital and the new Melbourne Museum set in the serenely beautiful Carlton and Exhibition Gardens adjacent to the World Heritage listed Exhibition Buildings - seat of the first Australian Parliament. The Melbourne Zoo is also only a quick hop away.
The Melbourne CBD is only a brisk walk of less than 2 Kms or even a quicker trip on one of our iconic trams. The Noted Victoria Market is our corner store, but since it closes by 5.00 pm we rely thereafter on the supermarket next door for our shopping needs. Carlton Clocktower Apartments offers a choice of spacious 1 or 2 bedroom self-contained apartments with ample kitchen and laundry facilities.
PLEASE NOTE: A LIMITED NUMBER of Secure undercover car parks are also available for a small fee (Limit 1 per apartment). We are a NON-SMOKING property and charge a fee for cleaning if you smoke in the apartment. Complimentary wifi is available from reception. ALL credit card payments are subject to a 1.50% surcharge.
Staff were friendly, engaging & happy to assist. Room was fresh and amenities in top condition. Have stayed at the ClockTower regularly for the past 5+ years, seen it rise, fall and rise again! Compliments on putting in the hard yards 'cause the ClockTower is offering top quality accommodation & service again. Our room (L1#3) location ensured serene & restful night while access to Lygon street was 50 meters away. Melbourne University / Union House Theatre was a comfortable 13 min walk! Getting There : If travelling from the airport we recommend a taxi at approximately $45.00 - $50.00 a trip, otherwise Jetbus (www.jetbus.com.au) will drop you off and pick you up from the property.
Driving into Melbourne from the Hume Highway, turn left into Grattan Street and then left into Drummond Street. We are 100 metres up on the left-hand side.
Driving in from the south, get onto Victoria Street then turn into Drummond Street, we are north of Grattan Street on the left-hand side.
PLEASE NOTE: Secure undercover parking is also available at a fee of $15 per night per vehicle.

Things To DoShort tram ride away from the Melbourne Zoo. A two minute walk to the IMAX Theatre and the Melbourne Museum, while the CBD is within walking distance. We are a 20 metre walk from Lygon Street for some fine dining, or a tram ride away from the Queen Victoria Market.
