Excellent for families and great for children to meet and play with others so parents can have some down time. A very quiet relaxing location but still close to township. Cottages were lovely and we slept well which was a bonus.

Unique accommodation; homely touches; although about 1.5km from town centre this was no disadvantage. Location quite and relaxing. The cottage was extremely well furnished and appointed.

My husband suffers with a bad back and after realising the queen bed was going to be too hard for him Rob and Donna kindly let him utilise one of the single bunks at no extra charge. Very obliging.

"Our" cottage was pretty much exactly as we had expected from the available website etc information & pictures. We were looking for comfort, ability to self cater and quiet for just a one night stay. We were not disappointed and the outdoor deck space plus outlook was great. Initially a problem with WIFI but easily sorted with a mid evening phone call to the hosts to reset the local unit. The arrival process was a bit impersonal, with checking in on a computer to get access, all in early evening darkness but it worked fine.

Lovely rooms and a comfortable, spacious cottage which is modern and in a beautiful location. The kids loved the playground on site. Lots of amenities as described on the website. The cottage is one of 3, in spacious grounds, a short drive to the town and beaches.

A beautiful, restful stay. Plenty of room, spotlessly clean, warm. The surrounds were picturesque and quiet. We had to drive to Port Fairy Main Street for supplies, but that gave us reason for a bit of a wander. The owners made us feel welcome, then respected our space. All in all, highly recommend.

Besford Cottage provided a wonderful venue for our three generations to enjoy each others' company. Great atmosphere, very well-appointed furnishings and everything necessary in the kitchen to assist us with our meals. The playground was a great hit with the children, and was thoughtfully designed. They loved the billycarts, and tired their father out pulling them up the hill 100 times or more. :-) In all, a very memorable holiday for us all, and one we would hope to repeat sometime soon.

We had a lovely lovely time, it was great having a full kitchen and laundry and the studio was very well designed. At times wished the kids play equipment wasn't right outside but that was clear from the photos so it was our choice. Port Fairy was also a lovely surprise for us - had a great time! Thank you!

I just wish I could have packed up our beautiful cottage and taken it with me for the rest of our tour of Victoria. It is no exaggeration to say it was perfect in every way. Every convenience had been thought of and provided. The house was spacious, yet so warm and cosy, thanks to the efficient gas heating. It was built and furnished to a very high standard and I loved how the other cottages, and separate laundry, were all set out like a small "village". All this for an unbelievable " special" tariff. Although Donna and Rob have only taken over Belfast Cottages recently, it is clear they have invested much of themselves in this venture and I wish them every, deserved success.
