I could not fault my stay at the Mid City. Excellent location, excellent friendly and professional staff, price also excellent for a motel in the middle of the city. Comfortable room and very comfortable bed. Many thanks, I will definitely be booking with you when I next need to stay in Ballarat! Will also recommend to others. Great stay - thank you. I also booked the conference centre - lovely venue. My only surprise that there was no projector or any technology in the room. Luckily I brought everything with me but was surprised that there was nothing provided. I even had to use my own extension cord and double adaptor. This is not a complaint - the food and service were all good.

The stay was fantastic, as i have stayed there before. Brief note: The room i stayed in (Room 42) has a panel missing from the Shower Screen. Causing water to spray across the room.

This was the third time over a period of thirty years that we have stayed at Mid City and each time the experience was different. On this visit the first negative point was the lack of an information folder in the room. usually this material relates to details about the motel as well as local district tourist attractions etc. For info I went on line and found that the restaurant was closed and a Continental breakfast could be delivered to the room on the (prior) evening. I called reception regarding an info guide, but nothing was provided. On entering the room initially I noticed immediately that the smoke alarm had been damaged to the point that it no longer existed. Afterwards i noticed that one of the bed-head reading lights did not function, and the bathroom basin hot tap could not be turned off ... it dripped at such a rate that the tap was warm to touch all the time. Not unusually the weather was poor, and the sizable gap beneath the entrance door allowed a cold draught to be felt. Overall though we were comfortable and slept well.

We have stayed with you a number of times, and have always had a good experience. Helpful staff, clean rooms, quiet at night, comfortable bed and adequate bedding, great location (central)... We will definitely stay with you again, as we know to expect a friendly welcome. The decor is a little tired, but we know this is in the process of being updated, so no criticism on that count. Reception was very friendly even though I was very late. Fresh milk was provided,room was clean,large and comfortable and the surroundings were relatively quiet. I would have no problem recommending this motel.

Even though the hotel is older, I really appreciated the extra touches that have gone into making it feel contemporary - beautiful linen, mini bar etc. I had breakfast in the restaurant and it was great (although it was missing one of the ingredients advertised on the menu which was slightly disappointing) and service was fantastic.
